Small business slow on the uptake when it comes to social media trends? Noooooooo, really?
Despite every savvy internet user knowing that Twitter can boast less than 1% of its traffic is spam, certain numbskulls continue hiring spam writers to create extremely-short-lived Twitter accounts, much to my own personal amusement.
In a perfect display of just how out-of-the-loop these people are, they've resorted to horrendous email-style spam misspellings of every word, even in the oh-so-incognito "see, I'm just a person being social" tweets. It's as if the buyers actually think the spam is being killed by a machine, a la SpamAssassin.
No. No, that's all me ... and every other Twitter user who enjoys a spam-free environment. We're aggressively blocking and reporting you as spammers. We get the email which says your employee followed us, we see they've tweeted less than a dozen times, have less than a dozen followers, and have followed hundreds of users, and we literally race each other for the chance to block and report you as spam. We do this because we know if we click too slowly, you'll already be banned from Twitter before we've had the satisfaction.
Have you ever felt so unwanted in your lives?
