Helping Newbies RP

I came up with some cards to help new players understand role-playing for their first session ever. Feel free to use them, suggest your own, etc!

Out-of-character Lifeline
(First episode, infinite; next few episodes, two per hour of play)
You can pause in-character play and ask the other players for suggestions, reminders, help etc. Normally this is discouraged or forbidden, and in-character discussion is normally only allowed if characters are in the same room, talking over the comm, etc. Also normally, characters won't ask each other / say things to each other that don't make sense in the scene or between those characters. As a green-gilled new roleplayer, you can ask the more experienced players (or ref) anything you want.

Hero Mode
(First episode, two uses anytime; next few episodes, we'll see.)
USE THESE WISELY! Pick at least two good times to play the “Hero Mode card” with your character's motives and skills. Hero Mode means the player has role-played well, so their character steers the story for the better. Normally there'd be rules to test your character's success; you'd have to make a good decision, with good timing, and have the skill test (dice throw) succeed. The Hero Mode card requires good roleplaying to play, and I might say “save that, this isn't the time,” but if it's played, your character does something awesome. **The particular awesome something must be your idea.** Hero Mode usually lasts for one action, whether that action is finished in a turn or a day.

What's My Character Know?
(Infinite player requests, all players)
Whether it's some detail about their job, or some game clue your character latched onto, but which you personally don't know, you can just ask. I will either IM it, or say it over Skype, depending on whether it needs kept from other players.

Tutorial Mode
(First episode only, three uses)
I can take over your character, or you can ask another player to decide your character's actions. Lasts up to one or two scenes, but you can speak up to control your character at any time. This way you can see how an experienced player would handle your character's skills or personality in a situation. Please don't pull this card for the first scene of the first episode :)
